Cas9 sheds CRISPR light on RNA/ Cell, March 17, 2016 (Vol. 165, Issue 2)

Still focusing on genome editing using CRISPR? How about reprogram Cas9 to target RNA? For the first time, Gene Yeo @ UCSD and Jennifer Doudna @UC Berkley and colleagues develop a Cas9-based system to track endogenous RNA in living cells. Check out the Cell paper here: http://www.cell.com/cell/fulltext/S0092-8674(16)30204-5 and brainstorm other cool applications this technology can bring us in the future!
