Life and Biology – Episode 010 – CRISPR: Acquired Bacterial Immune Systems
This is the first episode about the CRISPR system in bacteria, but it won’t be the last. Here, I discuss an important paper that proved the acquisition of bacteriophage sequence and integration of that sequence into a CRISPR locus provides bacteria with resistance to the bacteriophage.
